About me / optional donation link

I am an obsessive music fanatic of over 40 years who has attended thousands of concerts spending an untallied fortune possibly equal to a house at pre pandemic prices.

First it was a vehicle for escapism, not just the few events I could actually attend but thru trading concert tapes (also known as "bootlegs") to recreate the concert experience in my own head since age 14, then in a career reselling tickets to fund my own habit and now because I just don't know what to do with myself.

I once went to 258 in a single year though last year it was only 130. After seeing almost everyone possible I just want to go to any show on a regular basis for the lowest possible price and now ready to share some of my strategies.

After constantly reading anything related to ticketing on social media and message boards and even in discussions with friends often calling for advice, I realize there is a lot of confusion related to concert tickets. Where and when to buy while ensuring you don't get ripped off or scammed. While a lot of information can be gleaned from social media outlets and message boards, we need to understand that most of us want to go to the concert because we connect emotionally with the music. Therefore most discussion related to concerts and ticketing is an emotional discussion. Though still passionate about the experience overall, I prefer a logic and fact based approach. I was once a fan of many bands but now see a fan as a sucker to be taken advantage of. I now look at buying a ticket much like the parties selling it, as a business transaction.

If you see any value in the information I am providing, please consider donating a few bucks to fund any future endeavors.

I did want to compile of history of all concerts in Southern California from the dawn of history thru 1999 but it's a bit daunting. I made a Facebook page for old concert ads but then my Meta account got hacked with $800 of ads placed for a scam engine product. I did dispute with American Express (don't stay home without it) but also in a fit of rage and frustration committed social suicide by deleting my account. I should reconsider as I did use Facebook not only for timely information but to search out free tickets. I might still scale it down to just a few favorite venues such as the Forum, one of the best venues on planet Earth, now hosting concerts for 58 years.

As of now I am the sole contributor to this project. Would love to possibly do faceless video content with assistance but only with a trusted associate. I had a professional proofreader to call upon for assistance but she is recovering from eye surgery. So some existing posts may be updated or corrected from time to time.
